Everyone knows the only thing scarier than a horde of zombies
Nothing is scarier than a clown
About 99 Psycho Clowns
99 Psycho clowns began in 2010 when team owner and creator Daniel McMahon decided he wanted to go racing again!
Over the past 5 years, there has been numerous boats – 99PC, 99 Psycho Clowns F2, 99 Psycho Clowns F1, 99 Psycho Clowns, 99 Psycho Clowns Team 4, 99 Psycho Clowns F1 Tunnel Boat and The Ringmaster.
As a shed can only house so much, a few have been sold, dewrapped and created into new teams.
We used to race a fleet of boats, with many great skiers, observers and drivers joining the crew, however This season we are racing just 2 – 99 Psycho Clowns and 99 Psycho Clowns F2. The main race boat is the 2013 World Title winning number 99 heavily modified force. We have had the privilege of towing some of the best skiers in the world with the likes of Wayne Mawer and Mick Kelly, and currently Steve Berry and Codie Rigg.
Our team has been lucky enough to have travelled all over Australia and the world doing what we love and picked up a few titles along the way.

Ian Baker
We heartbreakingly lost our best friend, best observer and biggest believer Ian Baker in a boat crash in November 2014. Ian was one of the founders of this team and will be in our memories forever. Ian was known all over the world as the nicest guy with a heart of gold, biggest clown, but most of all best Dad in the universe to his beautiful 4 girls.
Where to this year for 99 Psycho Clowns?
The previous 2 seasons the 99 team has been competing in the Superclass division in the River Classics. This year we have stepped it back a class to Unlimited as we introduced a new driver to the boat – Jessica Pearse. JP was only meant to drive whilst Dan was injured, however she keeps beating his times, so she keeps the drivers seat and Dan is now in the observer seat.
